Check out the open reflection and meditation spaces in Geisel Rooms 621 and 628.
The Calm Cave and Zen Den are meant to be used as spaces to retreat from studying, relax, pause, breathe deeply, and clear your mind.
These spaces incorporates feedback from library users, campus partners, and the Library Student Advisory Council. The collection of books (Calm Cave only) and lounge furniture were selected to help you relax and reflect.

RUBIK'S CUBE MOSAICS EXHIBIT |
|
|
Discover how an iconic puzzle becomes a medium for collaborative art. Created during Winter Quarter 2026, these large-scale mosaics transform images from the UC San Diego Library’s Digital Collections into vibrant works built entirely from Rubik’s Cubes.
Presented in partnership with the Rubik’s Cube Club at UC San Diego, the exhibit highlights two featured images: Geisel Library and the Colima Dog of Santa RosalÃa. More than 100 students and community members helped bring these pieces to life through a series of hands-on workshops, assembling each mosaic cube by cube using custom-designed templates.
The Rubik’s Cubes used in this exhibit are generously sponsored by SpeedCubeShop.
Rubik's Cube Mosaics: Turning Library Images into Art is on view in the Sally T. WongAvery Library breezeway from April 5 to June 15, during the building's open hours.
